L'enfer est de retour, comme une mauvaise blague qu'on ferait une fois de plus à un pauvre enfant qui n'aurait que on innocence pour se défendre. La guerre m'a volé mon enfance, qu'elle a tâché de sang, de larmes, de souffrance et de mort. Seize ans plus tard, la vie m'a éloigné de ce lieu où j'ai tant souffert, et revoilà que même à des milliers de kilomètres je souffre encore, et même plus qu'avant.
Devant une telle absurdité et un tel déchaînement de violence, on se demande toujours pourquoi. Pourquoi moi, pourquoi le Liban, pourquoi les Libanais? L'histoire a une fâcheuse tendance à se répéter, l'homme n'apprend rien de ses aînés. On essaie vainement de nous faire croire que l'humanité a fait de grandes choses. Il faut être aveugle pour croire encore en l'homme.
Mon action n'est que celle d'un homme, donc dérisoire aux yeux de ce qui se passe. Mais j'espère, aveuglé par ma propre douleur....

The map looks truely amazing! Beirut looks great. It is clearly the largest city on the map. It has some towers and really cool graphics representing the city as the obvious capital. The geography of Lebanon is very accurate (map distortion, location of mountain ranges, etc). As an American, I do not know Arabic, but the tea dye and every geographic location written in Arabic gives it an "old world" look. Since I am proficient in geography, I do not care that I can't read it, I still know Beirut is Beirut and Damascus is Damascus. When I took it to Hobby Lobby to get the map framed, the framer thought the map was about 200 years old!! The "old world" look is very convincing. Any potential customer will not be disapointed.
